I’m Brock. I cook every day — not because I have to, but because I genuinely can’t help it. Based in Vancouver, BC, most of my cooking happens on a gas grill, a Blackstone griddle, or over wood pellets in a smoker. The kitchen inside is mostly for backup.
My obsessions: flat pies — thin-crust pizza cooked hot and fast on the grill, with proper char on the bottom. Sourdough that I’ve been baking for years and still feel like I’m learning. Smoking briskets and ribs low and slow. Asian cooking in all its forms. Anything with real heat. I’m drawn to technique and the kind of cooking that takes time but pays off.
This site is where I keep the recipes that have earned a permanent spot in the rotation — things I’ve cooked enough times to trust. Some take all day. None of them came out of a package. If you cook from scratch and want to cook better, you’re in the right place.
